Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Host role based in Minneapolis, MN, paying $400/month. The Host will greet guests, manage check-ins, and ensure attendees feel welcomed and informed throughout events. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up event spaces, coordinating seating or group arrangements, and assisting with basic food and beverage flow in collaboration with venue staff when applicable. The Host will facilitate introductions, encourage inclusive conversation, and help maintain a positive and safe environment.

Additional tasks include supporting event logistics, collecting feedback from participants, and communicating with the organizing team to continuously improve the guest experience.

Qualifications
  • Strong Communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse guests and facilitate conversation.
  • Proven Customer Service experience, focused on hospitality, empathy, and problem-solving.
  • Comfort with Training or guiding small groups through event formats, activities, or ground rules.
  • Basic familiarity with Food & Beverage service or coordination in social or event settings.
  • Sales or outreach skills to promote events, encourage attendance, and represent the brand positively.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light event setup and breakdown.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings or weekends based on the event schedule.
  • Previous experience in events, hospitality, or community-building roles is preferred but not required.
