Far north suburb of Minneapolis - Work Setting: 100% remote
Our privately held manufacturing client is seeking a part-time Interim Controller to provide stability and hands-on accounting support. This role focuses on month-end close execution, variance analysis, and board financial reporting preparation. Ensuring deadlines, controls, and reporting quality are maintained.
Responsibilities- Support and execute the month-end close process
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform cash and bank reconciliations
- Assist with AP payment processing
- Support board-level financial reporting and variance analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and documentation
- Provide continuity and backup coverage during staff absences
- 8+ years of related accounting experience
- Bachelors in accounting or finance
- Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
- Manufacturing or cost accounting exposure is a plus but not required
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive
- Professional, collaborative, and easy to work with
- Acumatica ERP experience a plus but not required
