Finance Accounting Manager

As a well-established, growth-oriented commercial HVAC and plumbing contractor with longstanding customer relationships, and unwavering commitment to quality, safety, financial accuracy, and operational excellence we are seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager. This position is responsible for financial close and reporting, forecasting, and key elements of business intelligence. This newly created role reports directly to the V.P. of Finance and offers significant opportunity for growth and impact.

This position will lead the development of innovative processes across accounting close, financial reporting, sales and business intelligence, finance operations, and internal controls. This position will collaborate closely with both finance and operations teams, lead cross-functional projects, supervise and provide training to team members.

• Establish, manage, and continuously improve the monthly accounting close process
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards
• Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee account reconciliations
• Lead financial reviews and provide insights that support sound business decisions
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions to enhance finance and business processes

• B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3 - 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; experience in service or construction industries is a plus
• Strong technical knowledge of ERP systems and modern workflow tools
• Proficiency in Power BI and Excel, including dashboard development
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work hands on while also contributing at a strategic level
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred
• Experience working in a mid-sized contracting company ($20M - $150M)
• Proven success improving processes and implementing new systems
