Overview

Senior Tax Accountant

Location:

Edina, MN;
Compensation: $80K–$105K. A highly respected, well‑established manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to lead company wide tax compliance and serve as a trusted advisor within the finance function. This opening results from an internal promotion—offering clear evidence of growth opportunities and strong visibility across the business. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all organizational tax compliance activities
  • Prepare S corporation and partnership tax returns
  • Oversee multi-state sales and use tax filings
  • Support personal property tax assessments and reporting
  • Manage exemption certificate compliance, book-to-tax reconciliations, and M adjustments
  • Handle rental fleet and fixed asset depreciation reporting
  • Maintain and optimize tax setup, configuration, and testing within the ERP system
  • Respond to user tax inquiries and assist with system enhancements and improvements
  • Support federal, state, and local audit requests
  • Participate in quarterly estimated payments, cash planning, and annual tax planning initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency within tax workflows
  • Monitor changes in GAAP and tax regulations and ensure timely adoption of updates
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership on projects and strategic initiatives
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive tax experience; a blend of public accounting and industry experience preferred
  • Strong expertise in income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong system aptitude with Microsoft Office and tax software
  • CPA preferred but not required
