Finance Manager

Our client is seeking an SG&A Finance Manager to support their team starting ASAP on contract-basis (3+ months duration). The role oversees the accounting, financial analysis, and reporting for SG&A departments across multiple business units and functions. A key responsibility of this role is strategic financial consultation and advice to executive management through the presentation of monthly financial results, review of variances, and forecasting.

Other responsibilities include managing the month-end close process, annual planning cycle, and periodic forecasts. This role is located newar Minneapolis and requires a hybrid schedule with 3 days/week onsite.

• Oversee 2 direct reports, assigning and reviewing workflows.
• Ensures the accuracy and flow of all financial and SG&A data for correct internal and external reporting purposes.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts to automate processes that are currently done manually.
• Produce ad-hoc financial reports as needed.
• Performing variance analysis and presenting findings/recommendations to leadership.
• Create or Optimize SOPS and Controls for accounting processes.
• Approve balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts and approve journal entries according to SOX controls.
• Lead forecasting/planning efforts, reviewing variances and partnering with leadership for strategic decision-making.
• Perform accounting and financial analytic support for business initiatives and special projects in SG&A, which may include post-analysis cost tracking & reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6+ years of finance/accounting experience.
• Experience using Oracle financial systems and/or SAP BPC preferred
