Primary Objective of Position:

To provide expert tax advising, compliance, reporting, and planning services that align with client goals, delivering proactive, clear, and strategic tax guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver proactive, insightful tax advice to clients and internal teams, identifying and leveraging tax optimization strategies.
  • Prepare and file accurate and timely client tax returns, collaborating with client personnel and external advisors.
  • Research and document comprehensive tax analyses supporting compliance and forward-looking planning.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, external professionals, and tax authorities.
  • Mentor and guide Tax Accountants, Advisors, and Tax Assistants through daily direction and training.
  • Foster leadership within the tax group to promote continual improvement and quality client service.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Partner closely with client service teams, contributing to tax strategy and participating in client meetings as needed.
  • Oversee the full scope of tax compliance for assigned clients, including coordination with outside resources.
  • Prepare and review various tax filings such as individual, fiduciary, partnership, corporate, and foundation tax returns.
  • Develop accurate tax liability projections on a regular basis.
  • Manage administrative duties to ensure efficient tax filing processes.
  • Advocate for client interests during tax audits and formal communications.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and professional development for junior tax staff members.
  • Stay current on tax laws, regulations, pending legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Engage in company-wide projects and initiatives as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in tax advisory and compliance.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CFA, Enrolled Agent) or advanced degree (MBT, MBA, JD) required.
  • Experience with foreign investment holdings highly valued.
