Summer Investment Analyst

Sawmill Trust Company (STC) is accepting applications for a paid internship for the summer of2026.

Sawmill is a private multi-family office dedicated to supporting the financial well-being of families across generations. Established by the Brooks family to manage proceeds from the Brooks-Scanlon forest products business, we remain committed to serving as an extension of each family's investment needs, independent of large financial institutions.

We are seeking a motivated Summer Investment Analyst to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in investment management within a collaborative and research‑driven environment. The intern will support various aspects of the investment process, including asset allocation analysis, portfolio construction research, manager evaluation, and portfolio monitoring.

• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring investment opportunities across various asset classes.
• Participate in meetings with investment managers and contribute to due diligence processes.
• Research market trends, investment strategies, and emerging opportunities to support portfolio decisions.
• Maintain and update investment databases to track prospective and existing investments.

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong academic record with a solid understanding of basic investment concepts.
• Maintain a minimum GPA, 3.0 (or
  
  B) as specified by an academic institution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
