Senior Tax Accountant

The Tax Senior is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex individual, trust, and business tax returns while ensuring compliance with current federal, state, and local tax laws. This individual collaborates with clients, and cross-functional teams to identify strategic tax planning opportunities and maintain accurate financial documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts.
• Analyze financial data and ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.
• Stay current with evolving tax codes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Identify opportunities for tax savings, credits, and deferrals through proactive analysis.
• Support internal team during tax season to ensure timely and accurate filing.
• Collaborate with clients to gather required tax information and clarify documentation needs.
• Assist in communicating complex tax concepts in a clear and practical manner.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss filings, planning strategies, and recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation.
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and multi-entity structures.
• Strong background in tax research and planning for closely held businesses.
