Blaze Credit Union is currently hiring a Senior Teller at the Plymouth branch. The Senior Teller will be responsible for executing member’s financial transactions accurately and professionally, recommending and referring financial products and services, opening member accounts, and exemplifying superior service to build positive relationships. PositionSummary
The Senior Teller plays a pivotal role in delivering safe and efficient banking services to our members. Key responsibilities include transaction processing, account opening, product sales, and operational support across the branch.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Execute financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, certificates, loan payments, etc.) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Complete computing and recording procedures and maintain account records.
- Research and resolve member questions and disputes (NSF, checkbook reconciling, teller/ACH/ATM errors).
- Balance cash drawer, maintain daily records, and ensure compliance with internal controls; assist in branch opening and closing procedures.
- Recommend and sell appropriate products and services to meet member’s financial needs and support Blaze’s growth objectives.
- Record referrals for future follow‑up including correspondence and telephone referral.
- Initiate timely contact or follow‑up on all service and sales leads via outbound calls or correspondence.
- Perform duties that support effective branch operations, including inventory of office supplies, daily ATM and instant issue procedures, and balancing vault and card stock.
- Interview prospective members, collect necessary credit reports, analyze application for creditworthiness and fraud prevention, and recommend approval or denial.
- Complete computing and documentation procedures for opening new accounts or refusing denied applications.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations (Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control).

- Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 0–1 years of similar or related experience.
- Cash handling and customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of selling, identifying member needs, explaining features and benefits, and closing sales opportunities.
- Well organized, efficient, detail‑oriented; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to proactively respond to members and staff to problem‑solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.
Physical RequirementsAbility to sit and stand, answer calls, operate computer, interact with internal staff and the public on the phone, travel to designated offices, lift up to 20 lbs. Weekly schedule includes Saturday hours.
Compensation and BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is $22.53–$24.50 per hour. Additional benefits include low‑cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401(k) contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
Blaze currently offers a bonus for DNA experience: $5,500 paid over a 2‑year period, and $2,000 for Non‑DNA experience paid over a 1‑year period for all branch and member experience center positions.
