ScopeThe Financial Restructuring group leases Financial Analysts to work specifically with the group, assisting with a variety of transactions, including creditor‑ and debtor‑side restructurings and distressed mergers & acquisitions. The group offers a unique opportunity for analysts to work on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and industries.
Responsibilities- Advising clients in out‑of‑court and Chapter 11 restructurings
- Debt and equity financings
- Distressed M&A advisory services
- Special‑situation principal investing
- Participating in complex negotiation on behalf of our clients
- Working as a member of deal teams comprising at least one Managing Director, Vice President, Associate, and Financial Analyst
- B.A./B.S./B.B.A. in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Applied Economics (required)
- Coursework in accounting and finance
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
- Strong analytical, technical, and qualitative abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously
- Strong financial and computer skills
- Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in similar roles within investment banking
- Operational financial modeling and valuation experience
- Very strong work ethic and careful attention to detail
Houlihan Lokey offers a competitive total compensation package, which may include discretionary incentive compensation. The salary range for this role at the time of posting is $135,000 - $145,000; actual salary at the time of hire may vary. Competitive benefits package details are available here.
