Accounting Analyst; Investments & Audit

Overview

Accounting Analyst (Investments & Audit Support) – Minneapolis, MN (55414). Temporary, part-time position (20-30 hours per week during regular business hours; morning availability strongly preferred). Hybrid work arrangement available. The role involves supporting the organization’s financial assets management, including endowment and treasury functions, in a higher education setting.

• Report to the Investment Operations Director and Treasury Director
• Perform daily cash reconciliations
• Assist with wire entry and approvals, as needed
• Support preparation for upcoming audit
• Review audited financial statements from external investment managers
• Complete audit checklists and footnote reviews
• Extract and summarize key financial data points
• Reconcile limited partner NAV to overall fund NAV
• Assist with additional ad hoc tasks as needed

• 2+ years of experience in audit, public accounting, or investment accounting strongly preferred
• Experience with People Soft or similar systems
• Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities independently and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
