Overview

Responsibility- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S‑corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle‑market to multinational companies.
- Participate in tax research projects on various tax issues, help draft IRS responses, and address other tax authority inquiries.
- Team with leaders on special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation such as accounting methods and ASC
740. - Develop recommendations for clients and help leadership discuss and strategize.
- Communicate and collaborate with specialty tax practices on complex state and local, high‑net‑worth, international, research and development, and credits and incentives matters.
- Learn from on‑the‑job coaching, mentoring, and firm‑wide learning and development programs.
- Use entrepreneurial skills to network, build strong relationships internally and externally with clients.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, law, or a related business discipline with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state of consideration.
- Outstanding academic performance, preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Relevant internship, work experience, and/or professional organization involvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, problem solving, organization, analysis, initiative, and adaptability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

As a Tax Associate at Baker Tilly, you will be a value architect delivering tax advisory and compliance services to clients and will work with privately held and publicly traded companies across all stages of development.
