The Mortgage Loan Officer role at Supreme Lending is a full-time, on-site position based in Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you will generate and manage a pipeline of mortgage loan applications, from initial inquiry and prequalification through closing. You will meet with prospective borrowers, assess their financial profiles, explain available loan products, and guide them through documentation requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and reviewing borrower information, structuring loan scenarios, coordinating with underwriting, processing, and closing teams, and ensuring all files meet regulatory and company standards.
You will also build and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, referral partners, and past clients, while providing responsive, customer-focused service throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, including current loan products, regulations, and market trends (Mortgage Industry, Mortgage Lending).
- Experience working as a Loan Officer or in a similar client-facing mortgage role, with a proven ability to manage a loan pipeline and meet production goals (Loan Officers).
- Familiarity with underwriting guidelines, risk assessment, and file documentation requirements to support accurate loan structuring and approvals (Underwriting).
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality customer service, including clear communication, timely follow-up, and support throughout the loan process (Customer Service).
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with borrowers, real estate agents, and referral partners.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with loan origination systems and related technology.
- Relevant state licensing and active NMLS registration, or eligibility and willingness to obtain required licenses.
- Experience in residential mortgage lending within the Minneapolis market is preferred; bilingual communication skills are a plus.
