Job Description
Our Mergers and Acquisitions practice works with owners and investors to help them ease their tax burden and quantify tax exposures in a wide range of transactions, including buy-side and sell-side, restructuring, taxable and tax-free transactions. We provide our clients with tax due diligence, tax structuring, quantitative tax modeling services, transaction agreement review and consultation and tax technical support. You will gain knowledge of the firm's Merger & Acquisition services as well as assist project managers, clients, and peers on various consulting engagements.
Responsibilities- Assist Seniors, Managers and Partners in conducting financial due diligence on middle‑market companies in a variety of industries
- Conduct analytical reviews of data and prepare findings
- Create draft reports for management review
- Research issues that arise during the course of engagement
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or a related field required
- Master’s degree in Taxation or JD with LLM in taxation preferred
- CPA preferred. If not a CPA, must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon hire in the state of employment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis upon hire. Candidates requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status) will not be considered
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Previous experience in a public accounting firm or law firm preferred
Previous experience in tax due diligence and merger and acquisitions tax consulting preferred - Able to understand problems, think critically, research and identify creative solutions
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others
- Self‑directed professional and takes initiative for professional growth and development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)
- Ability to travel as needed, approximately 15%
The pay rate range for this job position is $84,000 to $164,300. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
