Asset & Investment Management Analyst
As an analyst on the ALM team, you will be a key contributor supporting the management and analysis of the company's assets and liabilities. Your role involves assisting with monthly regulatory analyses and quarterly ALM model runs, managing governance controls related to these key processes and helping to automate workflows. You will support strategic business initiatives by leveraging regulatory reporting activities in forward‑looking ALM analyses that inform risk management and portfolio decisions.
This position offers an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of life insurance liability products, asset modeling, and portfolio management implications. You will own key "run" ALM processes becoming the expert in production as well as process maintenance and take steps towards process improvement. Your contributions will help the team shift toward more efficient, scalable, and integrated workflows to free capacity for deeper strategic insight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and execute specific recurring monthly regulatory ALM processes, such as Principle‑Based Reserving (P ), including analysis, validation, and supporting the transition from manual to automated workflows.
- Collaborate with actuarial, portfolio management, and finance teams to analyze asset and liability risks including interest rate, liquidity, credit risk, and capital monitor key metrics like duration gaps and cash flow mismatches, and deliver actionable insights and reporting to senior leadership.
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial and risk models and ad‑hoc analysis to understand financial risks and outcomes, supporting actuarial functions ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
- Identify process inefficiencies and lead initiatives to automate and enhance integration of regulatory and strategic ALM analyses.
- Communicate effectively across internal teams to align analysis, support decision‑making, and foster collaborative problem‑solving.
- Leverage artificial intelligence tools and emerging technologies to enhance modeling, analysis, and process automation.
What you bring:
- 1+ years required: experience within a life insurance or related financial services company focused on ALM or related functions.
- Modelling experience is critical and familiarity with actuarial modelling specifically is preferred.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to an executive audience.
- Four‑year degree required: quantitative field including mathematics, engineering, economics, actuarial science or related.
