Finance Director

Description We are looking for a finance leader who can guide accounting operations and financial oversight for a diversified organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role supports multiple business lines and requires someone who can balance strategic financial leadership with day-to-day execution in a hands-on environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to deliver clear reporting, planning, and compliance support across several entities.

Responsibilities:

- Direct accounting activities across multiple entities, including payables, receivables, payroll coordination, ledger oversight, and period-end close processes.

- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for individual business units as well as consolidated reporting for leadership review.

- Lead the annual external audit and act as the main point of contact for auditors, ensuring schedules and documentation are prepared accurately and on time.

- Oversee regulatory and financial compliance requirements, including appropriate accounting treatment for nonprofit operations and restricted funding.

- Manage company wide budgeting efforts and maintain forward-looking forecasts, cash flow models, and variance analysis to support business decisions.

- Partner with operational leaders across software, hospitality, real estate, and nonprofit functions to align financial plans with organizational priorities.

- Supervise revenue accounting practices across varied income streams, including recurring software revenue, hospitality-related sales, and real estate project activity.

- Review intercompany activity and ensure proper reconciliation, eliminations, and consolidated financial presentation across all entities. Requirements
