Job Description

The Ascent division of U.S. Bank’s Wealth Management Group exclusively serves a limited number of ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients, each with a net worth exceeding $75 million. The Director of Investments is responsible for directly managing these clients' investment portfolios while also assisting senior advisors with portfolio management and business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating personalized client portfolios and related performance reports.
  • Delivering prompt and relevant investment updates to clients.
  • Preparing materials and models for both internal and external meetings.
  • Collaborating closely with the Managing Directors of Investments to ensure consistent implementation of investment strategies across all accounts and organizing transition plans as appropriate.
  • Handling direct client contact as part of supporting the Managing Directors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Seven or more years of experience in a portfolio/wealth management role.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced understanding of finance/accounting/investments and portfolio construction, and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Two or more years of experience working with alternative assets.
  • CFA designation.
  • Master's degree.
