Treasury Analyst
We are seeking a Treasury Analyst to join our CFO in our Minneapolis, MN office. This position will be responsible for assisting the VP, Treasury with the cash management of the firm, as well as tasks and reporting related to the collateralization of the firm's balance sheet. This individual will be held responsible for all major areas of accountability, as stated below.
Responsibilities- Determine the necessary levels of borrowing and investing according to the firm's daily cash and margin position, by analyzing and capturing transactional data from a variety of sources.
- Ensure the financing occurs in a manner consistent with established objectives, monitoring and managing bank balances and associated risks.
- Monitor and analyze securities in the firm's inventory, maximizing usage of this inventory as collateral within predefined criteria of each debt arrangement, to ensure the firm's cash needs can be met through collateralized financing to the extent needed, while managing the associated risks. Maintain on‑going communications with departments that impact inventory/collateral such as Short‑term Trading, Capital Markets Accounting, Global Middle Office and Trade Settlement.
- Facilitate firm payments (domestic and international wires, ACH, checks, and real‑time payments).
- Create daily journal entries related to bank transactions and monitor bank reconciliation reports to ensure entries are posted to the general ledger in a timely manner.
- Maintain and analyze monthly bank service fees. Provide recommendations to management, if needed.
- Create/update MS Excel models used for tracking, analysis, and forecasting.
- Produce monthly/quarterly reports for internal/external financial reporting.
- Monitor financial covenants associated with lender(s).
- Provide excellent customer service internally to the various business lines, and externally to banks, vendors, and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned and/or required, which may include assisting in other departments of the CFO group.
- Assist Treasury team and CFO group with identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline daily workflows to improve overall team efficiency.
- 3+ years of Treasury experience or related.
- Intermediate MS Excel (formulas, macros, pivot tables, graphs, etc.), Power BI, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Proactive problem‑solver who can work independently and make confident decisions, as well as being able to function as a member of a team.
- Able to multi‑task, problem solve, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Possess the aptitude for attention to detail, prioritizing work, and accurate data entry skills.
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $90,000-$100,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
