- Assist audit team management in planning audit engagements, including risk assessment and business process analysis.
- Interview auditees and evaluate control design adequacy.
- Perform or supervise control testing by staff auditors, using appropriate sampling techniques and documenting testing results.
- Draft potential exposures, identify root causes, and develop recommendations for cost‑effective operational improvements.
- Assist with drafting audit reports and wrapping up audit phases.
- Apply coaching insights and perform other duties as requested by management.
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; five to seven years of applicable experience.
- Preferred Skills/
Experience:
Consumer compliance or regulatory compliance experience; bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems (MIS). - Five or more years of experience in internal auditing, public accounting, or related fields.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and project management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends affecting the assigned line of business.
- Advanced understanding of business operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
- Strong process facilitation, business acumen, and credibility to help the business line identify and address evolving workforce needs.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer navigation skills using Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
- Applicable professional certifications preferred.
- Working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
