Product Analyst, Alternative Investments
The Alternative Investments product team serves as the primary platform support for alternative investment products (e.g., hedge funds, private capital funds, real assets, and exchange funds) sold across the RBC Wealth Management distribution channel. The role supports the development, growth, and risk management of RBC Wealth Management’s alternative investments platform(s), and assists in the management of strategic initiatives and vendor relationships that support these platforms.
It is directly aligned to functional and organizational responsibilities around client service and operational risk management, contributing to RBC Wealth Management’s overall strategy.
- Support financial advisors and client associates with questions related to the alternative investments platform by answering inquiries, assisting with order flow and solutioning “not in good order” documents.
- Monitor the alternative investment product inbox and take timely, accurate action on emails.
- Assist with routine and ad‑hoc administrative activities, including security setup, information collection, fund legal document monitoring, and billing.
- Manage internal websites related to supported alternative platform(s), including Infonet, Alts Link, and Salesforce.
- Collaborate with the Alternatives Product Manager on projects required to ensure compliance with regulators, competitiveness, and advisor satisfaction.
- Assist in development and execution of key strategic initiatives, particularly regarding alternatives.
- Identify appropriate solutions to product and business challenges, and manage the implementation of enhancements to existing programs.
- Undergraduate degree (BA / BS) with preferred concentration in business, economics, finance, or marketing.
- Basic knowledge of financial markets and the investment industry.
- Basic knowledge of alternative investment products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel; ability to adapt to changing technology.
- 1+ years of financial markets experience.
- Securities industry licenses 7, 63 and 65, or series 66; or willingness to become licensed.

Expected salary range: $55,000 – $95,000, depending on experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
