Role Description The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Minneapolis, MN, responsible for managing and optimizing dealership financial operations. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing deal structures, securing financing approvals, and ensuring accurate documentation for all vehicle sales and related products. The Finance Manager collaborates closely with sales and management teams to develop competitive financing and leasing options, drive revenue through warranty and protection products, and maintain compliance with all regulatory and lender requirements.
This role also involves analyzing financial performance, monitoring key metrics, and recommending process improvements to enhance profitability and customer satisfaction. The Finance Manager provides clear, ethical guidance to customers on financing terms while supporting a consistent, high-quality experience aligned with Luther Automotive Group standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in automotive finance operations, including structuring deals, securing lender approvals, and managing F&I products.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and profitability metrics, with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
- Working understanding of regulatory compliance, lending practices, and consumer finance laws relevant to dealership operations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly and build trust.
- Proven collaboration skills, able to work effectively with sales, service, and management teams in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accuracy in documentation, contract preparation, and record-keeping.
- Prior experience as a Finance Manager or in dealership F&I, banking, or lending is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems, finance software, and standard office productivity tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
