Strategic Tax Leader Opportunity

We are looking for a strategic tax leader to help establish and expand a new tax planning function serving independent financial professionals and their clients in Minneapolis Minnesota. This role offers the chance to shape service offerings, provide advanced planning insight, and influence how tax guidance is delivered within a growing financial services environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax knowledge, a consultative mindset, and enthusiasm for building practical, scalable solutions that support advisors, business owners, retirees, and high-net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities:

• Design and refine forward-looking tax planning services that help financial professionals deliver more comprehensive guidance to their clients.

• Analyze sophisticated individual and business tax matters, identifying planning considerations and practical recommendations tailored to each situation.

• Oversee the preparation and review of personal and business income tax filings with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and advisory value.

• Support clients and advisors during tax authority inquiries, examinations, and notice resolution at the federal and state levels.

• Advise on planning opportunities related to retirement distributions, annuity income, investment activity, business transitions, and succession strategies.

• Collaborate with financial advisors before client recommendations are finalized to ensure tax implications are thoroughly evaluated.

• Develop educational materials and lead webinars, presentations, and training sessions that strengthen tax knowledge across the advisor network.

• Create efficient workflows and scalable operating practices by incorporating technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools where appropriate.

• Contribute to the strategic direction and long-term growth of the tax planning division as services and demand continue to expand.
