Financial Analyst, Risk Manager/Analyst
What You Do
- Oversee and maintain capital reporting for regulatory requirements and rating agencies, including preparation, review, and explanation of results for all partners
- Analyze and manage capital impacts of corporate strategies, plans, and structural changes to influence our capital position over time
- Be a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing recommendations on capital efficiency, optimization opportunities, and tradeoffs
- Lead on cross‑functional capital projects across the organization, partnering with:
- CFO organization and FP&A
- CRO and Risk Management
- Asset & Investment Management (AIM)
- Tax and Accounting
- Reinsurance and external partners
- Develop, enhance, and govern capital projection models used for internal management, regulatory filings, and rating agency submissions
- Transform and improve capital processes, including automation, data integration, and control enhancements (e.g., migration from Excel‑based processes to SQL or other scalable platforms)
- Execute capital efficiencies and optimization opportunities, building partner alignment and gaining support to implement solutions
- Present capital analysis, executive summaries, and actuarial memoranda
- Collaborate with enterprise risk teams to ensure consistent stress testing, scenario modeling, and assumptions across risk and capital frameworks
- Lead projects to simplify legal entity structures and other balance‑sheet‑related initiatives while navigating complex, cross‑disciplinary topics
- May provide technical guidance or oversight to junior actuarial or analytical staff
- 8+ years of experience in the actuarial field, with a focus on capital, risk, or financial modeling
- Bachelor's degree required in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- ASA designation required; working toward FSA
- Experience operating beyond pure reporting, being a strategic partner to senior leaders
- Experience influencing outcomes through collaboration across finance, risk, and investment teams
- Ability to explain complex capital topics to non‑technical audiences
- Assistant: $82,000 - $164,000
- Associate: $100,000 - $200,000

If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
