The primary purpose of this Air Reserve Technician (ART) position is to serve as command post training manager carrying out all functions associated with command post operations for airlift/rescue/fighter/special operations and tanker units. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZEDEXPERIENCE
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level (or other equivalent pay systems) in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience which includes performing a wide variety of command post operations; managing emergency situations, coordinating complex logistics, and providing authoritative guidance based on comprehensive knowledge of C2 regulations and directives and applying an understanding of Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) instructions to analyze, correlate, and synthesize operational data from multiple reporting systems to brief leadership on unit readiness.
OR EDUCATIONSuccessful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related from an accredited institution.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEA combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level.
Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- This is an ART enlisted position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies. Regular assignments are primarily ART duties; however, may also be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities.
- This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay.
