Student - Nutrition Literature Review, Research Assistant

Hours:

Approximately 3-5 hours per week

Duties:

* Conduct comprehensive literature searches using databases (e.g., Pub Med, Scopus, Google Scholar).

* Identify, review, and summarize peer-reviewed articles related to:

* Acid-base balance in the body.

* Alkaline vs. acidic diets and health outcomes.

* pH and its role in chronic disease.

* Organizing findings into annotated bibliographies, research tables, and/or summary reports.

* Provide brief synopses of relevant studies, including methods, outcomes, and limitations.

* Collaborate on interpreting findings within a functional medicine framework.

* Maintain proper citation formatting (APA).

Requirements:

* Currently enrolled and actively taking classes in the MHS Functional and Integrative Nutrition program.

* Strong understanding of human physiology, biochemistry, and clinical nutrition principles.

* Familiarity with functional medicine concepts and systems biology approaches.

* Experience with academic research methods and scientific databases.

* Excellent written communication and critical thinking skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

* Attention to detail and organization.
