Location: Brooklyn Park, MN 5544
Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $25/hr. on W2
Shift: Mon - Fri (9:00 am – 5:30 pm).
Position Summary
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company for patients seeking routine care or making important, life-defining health decisions.
- This role is responsible for performing high-quality blood specimen collection and processing while ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and comfort.
- The PSR II builds trust with patients by clearly explaining procedures and delivering services in a skillful, accurate, and professional manner.
- Assignments may include a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
- Perform daily duties accurately, efficiently, and on time under the direction of the Area Supervisor.
- Draw quality blood samples following established clinical and forensic collection procedures.
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient demographics and initials; obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling in the patient’s presence.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.
- Uphold confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
- Ability to produce error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong independent work skills with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong decision-making and judgment within established procedures.
- Superior customer focus with clear, transparent communication.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change.
- Knowledge of business operations and patient service standards.
- Shift: Closing shift.
- Hours:
9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday. - Weekend, holiday, on-call, and overtime availability required as staffing needs dictate.
- Travel required; must be flexible to work at multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (preferred).
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA).
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred).
- Customer service experience in retail or service settings (preferred).
- Keyboarding and data entry experience.
- Phlebotomy plus point-of-care testing performed on site.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record required (if applicable).
- MMR.
- Varicella.
- Tdap.
- TB Testing.
- COVID-19 vaccination.
- Influenza vaccination.
