What you will do as a CT Technologist:- Performs PET/CT imaging studies, completes communication of pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the examination. as ordered by physician, provider, or principal investigator according to approved procedures.
- Conducts PET/CT scans on human and animal patients.
- Performs injections as necessary to exam and follows sterile techniques and procedures during IV administration.
- Utilizes and troubleshoots peripheral research equipment.
- Works with radiologists, residents, principal investigators, research coordinators, and other health care team members, to ensure all concerns are addressed and protocols are up to date.
- Ensures all imaging protocols for each individual research study are performed consistently to the research specification.
- Builds PET/CT research protocols.
- Prepares patients for PET/CT exams, coordinates exams and organizes care plans to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
- Documents initial and ongoing data, responses/results or interventions consistent with established policies/procedures/guidelines along with any equipment concerns and/or malfunctions.
- Documents all pertinent research information into CMRR systems.
- Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited Radiology Health Sciences program with an ARRT or NMTCB registration
- CT ARRT certification required within 1 year of hire
- 1+ years of PET/CT or Nuclear Medicine emphasis.
