Optimal Home Care Services Now Hiring: ICLS Direct Support Staff

Optimal Home Care Services is currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated staff to provide Individualized Community Living Support (ICLS) services in Columbia Heights. We are looking for team members who are passionate about helping individuals live independently and achieve their personal goals within the community.

The ICLS Support Staff will provide person-centered services to individuals living in their own homes or family homes. Staff will support individuals in developing, maintaining, and improving skills necessary for independent living.

• Provide individualized support based on each person’s assessed needs and support plan
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
• Support individuals with budgeting, meal planning, grocery shopping, and household management
• Provide medication reminders and monitor health-related needs (as trained and authorized)
• Support community integration and participation in social, recreational, and community activities
• Assist individuals in accessing community resources and appointments
• Support development of independent living skills such as organization, time management, and decision-making
• Document services provided in compliance with DHS and company guidelines
• Maintain professional boundaries and ensure the health and safety of individuals served

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and follow a support plan
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
• Must pass required background studies
