Overview
What you'll do. Clinical Quality Performance Manager plays an important role in shaping the strategic direction of the AAN's clinical quality measure portfolio. In this dynamic role, you'll champion innovative approaches for integrating quality measures into impactful improvement programs and initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with dedicated volunteers and staff, orchestrating processes that drive the development and ongoing refinement of clinical quality measures aligned with the organization's vision.
Additionally, you'll serve as a key resource to the Quality Measures Subcommittee, empowering decision-making and supporting the continuous evolution of quality standards across the organization.

The AAN, founded in Minneapolis in 1948, supports and represents more than 40,000 neurologists and neuroscience professionals worldwide who provide crucial patient care, seek new cures and treatments for brain disease and work to ensure patient access to the right care. Our headquarters is in a stunning, energy-efficient office, located in downtown Minneapolis's dynamic Mill District, and our public policy office is near the action on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Information, Nursing or equivalent field is required.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- CPHQ certification or similar is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in similar quality improvement role within an association or healthcare setting is required.
- Demonstrated ability to uphold AAN's values is required.
- Experience with the development, testing and implementation of clinical quality measures is required.
- Advanced knowledge, understanding and interpretation of nomenclature used in electronic medical records (ICD-10, SNOMED, etc.) is required.
- Exhibits advanced independent problem solving and project management skills with demonstrated ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously are required.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required.
- Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Familiarity and understanding of quality accountability programs and other improvement initiatives for the application of quality measures are preferred.
- Experience in the development and implementation of digital quality measures including advanced understanding of clinical quality language (CQL) and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards are preferred.
- Proven ability to identify and evaluate trends to ensure programmatic offerings provide member value are preferred.
Relevant education and/or experience exceeding the required qualifications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required - up to 5%.
Location: Minneapolis, MN and is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week).
Schedule: Occasional evenings and weekends required.
