Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital.
Responsibilities- Inpatient interventional radiology unit within a 672-bed short-term acute care Magnet, teaching, Level III Trauma hospital
- Daily caseload of approximately 9 cases per technologist
- IR/angio procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, drainages, peripheral upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies
- X-ray procedures include extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, upper and lower extremities
- Charting via Epic (Excellian); experience required
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, starting at 8:00 or 8:30 AM
- On-call required on weekends as needed; 0–4 on-call assignments per month, with additional on-call being strictly elective
- No floating to sister facilities; floating within the hospital may occur
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this position with no radius restriction
- Candidates who previously worked at the facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked
- Pre-start online modules are required prior to the first day of the assignment
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- RTO of no more than 5 days is preferred
- Parking is available at a flat rate of $0.55/hour
- Minimum of 1 year of interventional radiology experience
- Experience in inpatient, OR, ER, and interventional radiology settings required
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
- State license required if applicable; pending state license accepted
- Epic/Excellian EMR experience required
- 1 supervisor reference minimum required for consideration
