Description:
The position is for an RRT - ECMO Specialist.
The shift is 3x12 nights with occasional rotation to day shift as needed.
Experience requirements include a minimum of 2 years as an RRT and 1 year as an ECMO Specialist.
First-time applicants accepted with a minimum of 1 year ECMO specialist experience.
Weekend work is required, working every other weekend.
On-call duty is required as needed for the department.
Floating within the scope of practice to meet facility needs is expected.
Block scheduling options can be discussed with management.
Candidates must have adult critical care experience.
Skills required include airway management, endotracheal tube suctioning, extubation, and intubation assistance.
Experience managing patients with ARDS, pneumonia, and COVID is necessary.
Medication delivery experience should include various aerosol therapies and oxygen therapy methods.
Experience with arterial puncture and ventilator management is required.
Understanding of ABG interpretation and chest physiotherapy is essential.
Clinical knowledge in ECMO, as well as protocol-driven ECMO, is necessary.
Supervisory references are required for submission.
Candidates must be willing to comply with all necessary pre-employment requirements prior to starting.
