We are seeking a mission‑driven medical leader to fulfill a Medical Director position with our Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise (CARE) and Minnesota Specialty Health System (MSHS). In this role, you will provide clinical direction, supervision of psychiatric and dual‑certified APRNs, and facility oversight to ensure excellent psychiatric and substance use disorders treatment for patients. As the Medical Director, you will be responsible for directing admissions from multiple referral sources, including jails, hospitals, and community settings.
You will work as part of a leadership team to devise policy, refine processes, and set standards for patient care.
- CARE provides residential substance use disorder treatment to adults at three locations statewide – Anoka, Carlton, and Fergus Falls.
- MSHS provides intensive residential treatment services to adults at three locations statewide – Brainerd, Wadena, and Willmar.

- Board certified Psychiatrist.
- Experience treating substance use disorders.
- State of Minnesota medical license or ability to obtain one.
- Experience working in adult psychiatry in both hospital and outpatient settings.
- Leadership experience.
- Addictions psychiatry training.
- Experience working effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and background perspectives.
