Do you have a desire to support folks living with a mental illness in reaching their full potential? Do you enjoy creating safe and inclusive communities? Does program development excite you? Are you ready for a new opportunity?

The Community Support Generalist at Vail Communities works in a uniquely supportive and collaborative setting alongside adults living with mental illness. Vail Communities employs a community-based approach to recovery, using ordinary daily activities to connect staff with members, members to each other, and everyone to their strengths and talents. The role involves working with members to plan and coordinate work tasks, supporting goal setting and job development through training and support on transitional employment.

Community Support Generalists lead and model through encouragement, appreciation, and a focus on abilities, with an end goal of members seeing and hearing themselves as valued participants within the Clubhouse community.

Who are we?

The Clubhouse Program at Vail Communities is a community for adults with serious mental illness, serving as a single point of access and coordination based on the Clubhouse Model. We have been serving the Twin Cities for over 40 years! Guided by our mission and core values, we offer purpose, direction, and hope. Check out this VIDEO that was made to showcase our Clubhouses.

We believe connecting to a community is not only a basic human need — it's a prerequisite for mental health. People living with SMI need a holistic approach to treatment that addresses social symptoms, as well as psychosocial needs such as employment, housing, and skills development. Our treatment approach, known as social practice — based on the Clubhouse Model pioneered by Fountain House New York City and implemented in Clubhouses worldwide — is designed to do just that.

What do we offer?

We take pride in fostering a collaborative work atmosphere, offering an excellent workplace, and attractive perks and benefits. As a member of our team, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes free and affordable ancillary health services for you and your family, as well as an exceptional work-life balance. We promote this balance by providing paid time off that begins at 2.5 weeks annually, in addition to 11 company-paid holidays, 5 personal days, and allowances for safe and sick time.

Furthermore, we offer paid training and continuing education opportunities, company-provided equipment, and an Employee Assistance Program designed to support our employees and their families.
