What You’ll Do
Provide inpatient hematology and oncology care for diverse patient populations
Support hematology/oncology teams on a 686-bed hospital floor
Manage patients with benign and malignant hematology conditions
Collaborate with physicians and APPs to deliver high-quality care
Perform hematology-specific inpatient procedures
Document patient care efficiently using EPIC EMR
Support patients across all ages with tailored treatment plans
What You Need
Required:
Minnesota license for PA or APP
Prior experience with hematology patients (benign and malignant)
BLS and ACLS certifications
Ability to manage inpatient hematology/oncology cases confidently
Preferred:
Experience with hematology inpatient procedures
Bone marrow practice knowledge (not mandatory but a plus)
Ability to work independently during daytime hours
About the Assignment
This position supports inpatient hematology and oncology services within a large hospital. The role involves managing a high volume of hematology patients, including those with benign and malignant conditions. APPs will have support staff available during weekdays, with no weekend call coverage required. The facility is committed to providing a supportive environment to develop your expertise, including future bone marrow practice expansion.
