Interim Healthcare Staffing has an immediate need for a Sterilization Tech to fill a temporary need!
Schedule
:
Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm.
Location: Clinical setting in Minneapolis, MN (East Bank)
Pay Rate
:
Up to 33$/hr depending on experience!
- Collects used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination.
- Cleans instruments and supplies, removing contaminants and waste to ensure items are free of foreign matter prior to sterilization.
- Operates and maintains decontamination equipment, and perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, labeling and sterilization of instruments and supplies.
- Assemble instrument sets and trays accurately, and prepare, pack and deliver sterilization equipment needed for clinical procedures.
- Operate sterilizers safely and document sterilization loads and processes according to established standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and maintain records related to sterilization procedures.
- Follow infection control, safety standards, and department protocols, and respond to urgent requests with accuracy and efficiency.
- Additional tasks as needed.
- At least 1-2 years of recent experience in handling and sterilization processing of surgical/medical/dental instrumentation.
- Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification as a Central Processing Tech (CSCRT) is strongly preferred!
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
- Proficient with computer systems along with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products.
