Internship Program At Health Source Solutions

The goal of our internship program is for students to gain experience in design, implementation, and evaluation of worksite health promotion and corporate fitness programming onsite  interns are treated as part of the team and are expected to be engaged and contribute like any other staff.

PLYMOUTH, MN

Experiences and Responsibilities Include:

• observe and participate in client consultations, program development, and evaluation
• create custom paper and digital communications
• assist in data entry and packing for onsite screening events
• support challenge configuration, file uploads, email communications, and generation of reporting in a digital wellness platform
• staff events such as health fairs and screenings
• attend wellness committee, staff, and sales meetings
• attend internal staff, ERG committee, and sales/marketing meetings
• assist in designing programs and supportive materials
• research information, write content, and engage in the product development

Worksite Services Interns have the unique opportunity to support multiple service lines. Based on student interest and season of internship, emphasis may be heavier in one of the three areas:

• Wellness Program Management
• Portal Platform Support
• Screening Event Coordination

Ideal Candidates:

• have strong organizational and computer skills
• are able to work independently with minimal supervision
• are highly motivated and creative
• are self-starters

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (locations vary throughout metro)

Experiences and Responsibilities Include:

• observe and participate in exercise consultations, membership recruitment, and exercise programming
• support facility upkeep and member experience
• teach or co-teach group exercise classes and movement breaks
• coordinate health education seminars and special activities
• contribute to monthly newsletters
• assist with the design and implementation of healthy behavior tracking campaigns
• develop promotional materials and bulletin boards
• assist in writing supportive materials for marketing Health Source Solutions
• visit and observe events at other Health Source Solutions locations and contracts locally in the Minneapolis metro area (visit a minimum of three sites)
• participate in a mock interview, mid point, and final evaluations

Ideal Candidates:

• have experience in fitness testing and exercise programming
• have strong computer skills
• are highly motivated and self-starters
• are willing to learn and teach group fitness

Health Source Solutions has a variety of internship experiences available. During an initial phone screening, an internship coordinator will share details about each and help align you with the experience that suits your background or future career aspirations.

Internship Requirements:

• 200-hour minimum commitment
• work regular, full-time hours during the internship
• registered juniors or seniors in college preferred
• interns must be earning credit for successful completion of the program
• must comply with the worksite's safety requirements
• must be available to work ONSITE at internship location (Minneapolis area, MN) the majority of internship hours (hybrid options discussed with supervisor, dependent on role and intern performance)

Health Source Solutions does not provide hourly compensation for internships; however, we offer financial support for professional development upon successful completion of the program.
