Job Description:

Provides leadership and direction for the safety, quality and experience team and function to include hiring and onboarding, education and development and performance management. Develops and oversees programs aligning with the organization's goals and strategic plan. Oversees regulatory process and requirements. Assesses risk and formulates recommendations to mitigate risk, develops and implements initiatives.

Principle Responsibilities Leadership Responsibilities.

Oversees and has responsibility for employees in the department to include hiring and onboarding, education and development and performance management.

Engages team to implement strategic vision for the department team.

Mentors and develops team members to lead process improvement and safety, quality & experience projects in alignment with organizational priorities.

Develops budgets for the team and projects.

Manages financials to budget targets.

Develops, facilitates and oversees program(s) to align with the organization's goals and strategies.

Leads, develops, implements and collaborates on function plans and programs; these functions include safety & quality, patient experience, performance and process improvement.

Manages and modifies tactics to achieve established objectives.

Collaborates with operational and clinical leaders to improve safety, quality and experience performance, mitigate risk and meet regulatory requirements.

Provides analysis of data.

Participates in requests from internal and external customers and agencies.

Aligns improvement efforts among functional programs in partnership with clinical and operational teams.

Serves as key leader in regulatory process and standards including Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) in partnership with accreditation specialists.

Prepares for regulatory readiness.

Facilitates visits from regulatory agencies.

Designs work processes and directs work performance to maintain regulatory compliance.

Partners with business unit departments and systemwide functions in coordinating, standardizing and maintaining continuity of risk management programs.

Serves as resource for risk management regulatory requirements.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders on projects.

Partners to identify, participate and implement priority performance improvement initiatives.

Provides tools and data to support initiatives.

May lead system performance improvement as identified by safety, quality & experience market and system leaders.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant healthcare field2 to 5 years experience working with health care safety, quality and experience programs2 to 5 years experience with Joint Commission standards, patient safety standards or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid5 to 7 years experience in an organizational leadership role preferred in quality, process, and performance improvement management

Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing or relevant healthcare field

Licenses/Certifications If a nurse:
Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required if RN and working in Minnesota or Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required if RN and working in Wisconsin Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred

Lean Six Sigma certification preferred

Pay Range Pay Range: $54.31 to $75.14 per hour
