Objective/Overview

This position provides mental health therapy and assessment services to patients in an outpatient setting as part of the mental health outpatient therapy team. The position has independent responsibility and accountability in clinical decision-making and performing the duties of an independently licensed mental health professional as defined by MN statute.

This position reports to the Therapy Program Manager.

Primary work environment is on-site at the CUHCC clinic during standard clinic hours (typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with slight variations), including at least one dedicated telehealth day. Thereis flexibility for later hours on telehealth days if preferred. Thefinal schedule is designed to balance patient needs withproductivity expectations. This role may come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.

Assessments:
Conduct reflective diagnostic interviews and establish accurate clinical diagnoses within a distinct cultural context.

Utilize standardized assessment screeners (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7,PC-PTSD, CAGE-AID) to evaluate initial baseline needs and monitor ongoing patient response to care using established clinical protocols. Additionally, participate as requested in completing supplementary patient documentation, including medical opinion forms, diagnostic verifications, and immigration or victim support letters, as an integral part of the assessment process.

Treatment Planning:
Actively engage in patient treatment planning by developing and updating individualized treatment plans in strict accordance with DHS guidelines and clinical timelines. Formulate tailored, comprehensive case conceptualizations specifically designed for a complex trauma population.

Outpatient Therapy:
Deliver responsive individual, group, couple,and family therapy interventions that provide trauma-informed,culturally competent care tailored to the population's complex needs. Engage in ongoing professional development to continually adapt these interventions to evolving patient demographics and clinical needs. To support overall clinical excellence and patient retention, actively integrate patient feedback to improve services while intentionally developing trust, safety, and strong therapeutic rapport.

Productivity:
Maintain a regular volume of 28+ scheduled encounters per week to meet a 1.0 FTE baseline target of 982 billable encounters per fiscal year, adjusting volume to offset planned timeoff, sick leave and clinic closures.

Complete mandated clinical documentation in the electronic health record (Epic Ochin) using designated clinical templates and workflows. Maintain a high 48-hour note signature rate, minimize backlogs past 7 days, and ensure accurate CPT coding according toclinic policy.
