Summary

The Assistant Operations Manager reports to the Front Office Manager and supports all duties of the hotel operations, ensuring excellent guest service, managing staff, and handling administrative tasks. This role will primarily support Front of House operations and will also support other departments, including Food & Beverage, in covering vacations and peaks of business.

Responsibilities
  • Guest Services:
    Ensure smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, address guest inquiries, and resolve complaints to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Staff Management:
    Supervise front desk personnel, manage schedules, conduct training sessions, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Operational Oversight:
    Assist the Front Office Manager in daily operations, including managing reservations, billing processes, and inventory management.
  • Communication:
    Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations and maintain accurate records of guest reservations and room availability.
  • Quality Control:
    Monitor service quality, implement corrective action plans based on guest feedback, and strive for continuous improvement in service performance.

Qualifications
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of one year previous front office supervisory experience preferred
