The Guest Service Associate is responsible for check‑in, checkout, kiosk operations, and all other guest transactions they strive to exceed established standards at every opportunity and take pride in the overall look and feel of our brand.

Schedule
:
We are currently seeking part‑time availability to include both weekdays and weekends. Rotating 1st (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM).

Pay
:
Starting wage at $18.50/hour.

Essential Functions
  • Ensures every guest is greeted and Welcomed on arrival
  • Registers and book guests, verifying reservation, address, email address and credit information
  • Proficient on kiosk operations to assist when necessary
  • Answers all inbound calls in a professional manner
  • Has an intimate knowledge of the hotel facilities and the local geographic area
  • Accepts payment for guests' accounts at the time of registration and at checkout
  • Maintains a house bank and makes a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily
  • Processes all Retail transactions for the guest
  • Responsible for restocking and assuring overall cleanliness of Retail
  • Issues luggage claims and checks guest luggage when requested
  • Takes pride in the overall look and feel of the hotel assuring cleanliness and conditions are at their peak at all times
  • Respectfully listens and responds to guest complaints in an efficient and professional manner
  • Completes additional duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • 1‑2 years of experience in a public contact position
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Customer service experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge and some knowledge in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet
  • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates.
Work Environment
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Exposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment; quiet to moderate noise level.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand at a desk for up to 8‑hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
  • Must have the ability to move around freely throughout the property and office, and necessity varies from day to day.
  • Must have the ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25‑30 lbs. occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
