The Role:Door Attendant
The Door Attendant creates a strong sense of arrival for guests and shares responsibilities with Bell and Valet staff to ensure swift departures.
What You’ll Do- Greets guests arriving by private car, taxi, or limo, opens their car door, and welcomes them to the hotel.
- Assists guests descending from cars, issues appropriate valet parking tickets, and provides a verbal greeting to guests arriving on foot.
- Unloads guest luggage from car, tags it, issues claim tickets, directs guests to the Front Desk for check‑in, and transfers luggage to the Bell staff.
- Ensures the smooth flow of traffic on the drive by directing guest cars and taxis to appropriate positions and directing valet parkers to park cars.
- Provides guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions; hails taxis as needed; loads luggage in car for departing guests.
- Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves complaints and assists with inquiries.
- Greets all guests passing through the Front Door and offers assistance.
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co‑workers and supervisors.
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness on the driveway and hotel entrance.
- Assists with responsibilities in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Bell and Valet staff.
- Assists with coverage of Residential Front Office responsibilities and desk coverage.
- Minimum of 2 years of front office or related work experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- High‑school education or equivalent experience.
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and evenings.
- Valid work authorization for the U.S.
- Wage: $17.48 per hour + tips
