Valet Drivers – Minneapolis Marriott Hotel, Seasonal through August 2026.
Salary: $16 per hour plus tips.
All shifts available.

Location:

Minneapolis Marriott or Rand Tower Hotel.

Hourly base pay of $16 with $4 – $9 per hour in tips. Compensation is based on skills, experience, education, and location.

Weekdays, weekends, holidays, all shifts.

Eligible employees may enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and a 401k plan. Eligibility depends on classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for benefits.

• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co‑workers, and clients.
• Greet guests within five feet; use guest last names and proper salutations.
• Park and retrieve vehicles safely, driving cautiously; operate manual transmissions if possible.
• Assist guests with luggage, bell services, and luggage storage.
• Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
• Provide directions, taxis, reservations, and local information; deliver messages and amenities.
• Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures; issue claim checks; maintain parking tickets and claim check information accurately.
• Calculate and collect revenue from vehicles when required.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license for the state of employment.
• At least one month of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of customer and personal service principles.
• Reading, writing, and verbal English proficiency.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with money.
• Understanding of 24‑hour/military time, rates, and manual transmission operations.
• Capacity for parallel parking.

Work requires frequent sitting, standing, running, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, and balancing. Visual demands include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, or 20 lbs constantly. Outdoor work for extended periods; exposure to extreme heat and cold weather. Travel up to 5% of the time may be required.

Job is routine, follows established practices, and decisions are made within departmental guidelines. Employee performs tasks with specific directions and frequent verification.
