Compensation: $60,000-$67,000/year

What You’ll Do:

  • Process and track job changes including promotions, transfers, rate changes, and department moves.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to the HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Collaborate with store leaders to ensure job changes align with staffing plans and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end onboarding process including offer letters, background checks, I-9 completion, and new hire paperwork.
  • Ensure all required employment documentation is collected and filed in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or support new hire orientation sessions; communicate key policies, expectations, and resources.
  • Enter new hires into additional systems where appropriate, i.e. IIX,
  • Coordinate with store leadership for first-day readiness and systems access.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and coordinate with the benefits team as needed.
  • Distribute benefit-related materials and assist during open enrollment periods.
  • Review employee timecards, job changes, and exception reports prior to payroll submission.
  • Ensure appropriate approvals are in place for overtime, and other payroll-impacting factors.
  • Work closely with Store Managers and Payroll to address discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and union contract provisions.
  • Support documenting and tracking investigations, leaves and disciplinary actions as assigned.
  • Maintain personnel records and support audits and compliance reviews.
  • All other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field experience is preferred.

  • 2-3 years of HR generalist or HR coordinator experience, ideally with exposure to both non-union and unionized work forces, multi-site retail or service environment.

  • Solid understanding of employment law, leave administration, payroll processes, and employee benefits.

  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP) and timekeeping systems.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
