DLR Group's Information Technology team has an opening for an HRIS Application Administrator
. This role could be based in the following studios:
- Omaha
- Overland Park
- Minneapolis
- Cleveland
The HRIS Application Administrator is responsible for the technical administration, configuration, and optimization of the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems, with a primary focus on Dayforce
. This role ensures system stability, security, integration, and data integrity while partnering closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings deep HRIS expertise, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to continuously improve systems that support the full employee lifecycle.
- Administer and support the Dayforce HRIS platform to ensure reliable performance, availability, and data integrity, including configuration, optimization, and end‑user support.
- Configure system rules, workflows, security roles, and access controls in alignment with business and IT standards.
- Translate business requirements into effective system configurations and technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot application, data, and integration issues, performing root cause analysis and coordinating resolution.
- Monitor and support system integrations, interfaces, and file transmissions (e.g., SFTP).
- Perform impact analysis and coordinate configuration changes across environments following change management practices.
- Support vendor release cycles, patches, and system upgrades, including testing and deployment readiness.
- Develop and execute functional, integration, and regression testing for system changes and enhancements.
- Maintain system documentation, including configurations, data flows, and operational procedures.
- Serve as a technical liaison between HR, IT, and external vendors, communicating system status, risks, and dependencies.
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot reports and integrations with other systems (e.g., time‑keeping, performance, API integrations, file feeds, scheduled jobs, etc.).
- Manage user roles, permissions, and security groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS, HR technology, business analysis, or related roles with increasing responsibility.
- Hands‑on experience administering and configuring an HCM platform (Dayforce strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and core HR operations from onboarding through off‑boarding.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical system solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, including root cause analysis.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- High level of discretion and experience handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Demonstrated discipline in documentation, testing, and quality assurance.
- Experience supporting ATS configuration, integrations, and adoption.
- Experience implementing an HRIS.
- Experience coordinating or leading small to medium cross‑functional initiatives.
- Exposure to system audits, access reviews, and compliance‑related reporting.
- Experience supporting organizational growth, transformation, or M&A integration.
- Background in architecture, engineering, consulting, or professional services environments.
- Familiarity with change management practices and IT service delivery models.

Pay Range$77,000 – $119,000 USD
