Advent Talent Group is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support for the efficient operation of the HR department at a mission-driven organization, located in Maplewood, MN. This role involves managing day-to-day HR functions, maintaining accurate records, responding to employee and applicant inquiries, and assisting with hiring and onboarding processes.

Position Overview- Pay Rate: $26-$28.00/hour
- Type: Contract-to-hire
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Location: On-site in Maplewood
- Provide daily administrative support to the HR team to ensure efficient department operations.
- Respond to employee and applicant inquiries and escalates when appropriate.
- Maintain HR files and records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support the payroll team as needed, experience with ADP preferred
- Support leave of absence tracking and communication, basic knowledge of ST and LT disability processes preferred
- Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring logistics.
- Complete background checks and prepare employment-related correspondence.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including badges, keys, and IT access coordination.
- Experience collaborating in diverse and inclusive environments
- Experience supporting non-profits (professional or volunteerism) preferred
- 3+ years of HR or office administration experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; HR-related degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of payroll process and ST and LT disability leave administration
- Experience with HR systems required, with strong preference for candidates with UKG and/or ADP experience.

- Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
