Human Resources Generalist - Minneapolis, MN

Warning Lites of MN and Sir Lines-A-Lot are operating companies of Road Safety Services, Inc., providing traffic control, pavement marking, and roadway safety services throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa. We are looking for a motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our Warning Lites office
. This position will support the employees and operations of both Warning Lites of MN and Sir Lines-A-Lot while partnering with our corporate Human Resources team.

• Recruit, interview, and coordinate the hiring process for field and office positions.
• Manage onboarding, including new hire paperwork, background checks, drug testing, DOT physicals, and orientation.
• Maintain personnel files and DOT driver qualification files to ensure compliance.
• Administer employee benefits and assist with annual open enrollment.
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and employee relations.
• Assist with employee retention, engagement, and performance management initiatives.
• Support safety programs, workers' compensation, and return-to-work processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, DOT, and company employment regulations.
• Assist with employee training, recognition programs, and company events.
• Partner with operations leaders and the corporate HR team to support workforce needs and company initiatives.

• 3+ years of Human Resources experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in construction, transportation, manufacturing, or other multi-location industries preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT hiring requirements and driver qualification files is a plus.
• Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
