Interim Recruiter- Energetic & Space (Astrobotic) Technology

The Interim Recruiter will support a rapidly growing technology organization by leading full-cycle recruiting efforts for highly specialized engineering and technical Astrobiotic and Aerospace positions. This role will focus on sourcing and recruiting talent across areas such as software engineering, systems engineering, AI/ML, edge computing, aerospace, defense, and other advanced technology disciplines. The consultant will partner closely with hiring leaders and the TA team to identify, engage, and secure top technical talent in a highly competitive market.

Salary Range:Hourly rate $50-$60, DOE

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for highly technical engineering and technology positions
• Source and engage passive candidates across Astrobiotics, Energetics, aerospace, defense, space technology, software, AI/ML, systems engineering, and related disciplines
• Build targeted talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill and niche technical roles
• Partner with hiring leaders to understand technical requirements, team needs, and talent market challenges
• Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify candidates beyond traditional recruiting channels
• Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruiting lifecycle, from initial outreach through offer acceptance
• Provide market intelligence, compensation insights, and competitive hiring recommendations
• Collaborate with talent acquisition and business leaders to prioritize hiring needs in a rapidly evolving environment
• Maintain candidate activity and reporting within the ATS

• Proven full-cycle recruiting experience for highly technical engineering positions
• Direct experience recruiting within Astrobiotics, Energetics, Aerospace, space technology, defense, government contracting, advanced manufacturing, robotics, autonomy, AI/ML, software engineering, or related industries
• Strong sourcing expertise and demonstrated success finding passive technical talent
• Established network within engineering, aerospace, defense, or space technology communities preferred
• Ability to understand and discuss complex technical skill sets with hiring managers and candidates
• Experience recruiting for roles such as Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, Edge Computing Engineers, Embedded Engineers, Aerospace Engineers, or similar technical disciplines
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environment
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
• Experience utilizing ATS platforms such as Greenhouse, Workday, or similar systems
