Senior Human Resources Generalist
Compensation: $75,000 – $95,000

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for a Senior HR Generalist with a strong focus on employee relations to join their growing team. Our client is an established organization with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and employee development. They offer a collaborative work environment where HR plays an important role in supporting both employees and business leaders.
This newly created position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being highly visible and hands-on. You'll serve as a trusted HR partner to leaders and employees, with a strong focus on employee relations, coaching, investigations, performance management, and workplace culture, while also supporting a broad range of HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders and employees on employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and corrective actions.
- Coach and advise leaders on effective people management practices, employee engagement, and talent development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Facilitate new-hire orientation and support onboarding, employee development, and retention initiatives.
- Support recruiting and workforce planning efforts.
- Coordinate employee leaves of absence, injury management, and workers' compensation.
- Partner with corporate HR to implement HR programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with employees and leaders while serving as a trusted and approachable HR resource.
- Support additional organizational initiatives and HR projects as needed.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
- 2+ years of employee relations experience, including investigations and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience advising leaders and employees on a wide range of employee relations matters.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, coaching, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a highly visible, fully onsite HR role.
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.
- Ability to travel occasionally between local company facilities, approximately 10%.
