U.S. Bank is seeking an HR Service Center Specialist who will be responsible for:
- Providing high-touch HR support to employees, retirees, managers, and business partners on HR policies, payroll, and benefits questions and processes.
- Serving as an escalation point for complex and sensitive inquiries, managing urgent issues with professionalism, sound judgment, and confidentiality across phone, chat, portal, and email channels.
- Partnering with HR teams to research and resolve complex cases, identify root causes, and ensure timely, accurate outcomes, while proactively anticipating issues and improving the employee experience.
- Supporting Tier 1 agents through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing to enhance performance and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Communicating clearly and effectively, adapting approach to meet the needs of diverse customers and stakeholders.
- Utilizing HR systems, including Service Now case management tools and HRIS platforms such as Workday, to document, track, and resolve inquiries in alignment with service level expectations.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends and recommending process enhancements.
- Meeting onsite expectations by working in the office more than 60% of the time each month (full working days).
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in HR operations, payroll, benefits, customer service, or related field
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- HR Service Center or Operations experience; familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to independently resolve complex issues and manage multiple priorities
- Experience coaching or supporting peer development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; bilingual skills a plus
Location Expectations
The work shift is Monday-Friday 9:30-6:00 PM CST
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
