Job Description

The Executive Compensation Consultant – Long-term Incentive Plans is responsible for the administration, governance, and operational execution of executive compensation programs, with primary accountability for long-term incentive (LTI) plans, including equity-based and long-term cash incentive programs. This role partners closely with internal Executive Compensation team members, Compensation COE, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and external vendors to ensure accurate and compliant administration of executive compensation programs, including deferred compensation.

Primary

Responsibilities Long-Term Incentive Plan Administration
  • Work collaboratively with Executive Compensation team members to administer equity and long-term cash compensation programs, including restricted stock units (RSUs), performance share awards, and other equity-based compensation vehicles.
  • Provide operational support for non-qualified deferred compensation plans, including participant transactions, elections, distributions, and reporting.
  • Administration includes award tracking, vesting, forfeitures, payout calculations, participant communications and scheduled reconciliations.
  • Coordinate award grants, vesting events, exercises, releases, and distributions with internal stakeholders and third-party administrators.
  • Maintain participant records and ensure accurate plan administration in equity management platforms.
  • Support annual compensation cycles, executive compensation planning, and incentive award processes.
  • Monitor plan activity and ensure compliance with applicable plan documents, policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Executive Compensation Operations
  • Prepare and validate executive compensation reports, reconciliations, and analyses.
  • Support executive compensation disclosures, audits, proxy preparation and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Partner with Payroll, Finance, Legal, and Human Resources to ensure accurate taxation, accounting, and reporting of compensation programs.
  • Assist with administration of executive employment agreements, severance arrangements, and other executive compensation-related programs as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Seven or more years of related compensation program or relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of stock plan administration, long-term incentive programs, non-qualified deferred compensation and executive compensation practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of government regulations which apply to the compensation area (e.g., FLSA).
  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources competencies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience working with equity administration platforms, HRIS systems, and advanced Excel reporting.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information while partnering effectively across multiple business functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Location Expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
